An invitation
to Therapists/Counsellors….
We invite therapists who subscribe to our values to join our community, and list their services on our platform. We will advertise the platform via social media and via facebook ads. We have the support of industry experts in facebook marketing, and we have reason to be confident that moderate marketing spend will bring in significant client leads.
Clients may contact you directly, and we ask that you include details of how you negotiate fees in your listing. An example could be “I have a maximum fee of x, and if you require a discount, I will usually suggest we negotiate a fee that works for us both in a first session.” Or “I usually charge my full fee of x for initial sessions. Once I am committed to working with you, if the fee becomes too high, or if your circumstances change, I am usually happy to negotiate a lower fee”.
We offer a 30 mins free consultation to therapists to help with their listing. You may also send details to John (gillie2k@gmail.com). If you are not known to us, we would generally expect to meet with you online prior to accepting your listing.
We are not currently asking any contribution from members. In future we may ask members to democratically decide on a method of making a contribution to central coffers. This will be used to help market the platform and for other costs. Contributions will be in proportion to the value of the platform for a member, and in proportion to the member’s capacity to pay.
Decisions pertaining to the setting of contribution, and how the platform spends your money will be made democratically by therapist members.
If the idea catches on and the platform were to grow, we may consider introducing a voucher system for payment, whereby therapy clients could purchase a voucher (at different cost options) via the site, and these vouchers would be redeemed at a fixed rate with therapists. This would have the impact of sharing out earnings equally across the platform, and removing any stigma/shame for clients from the therapy transaction around being able to afford less. We intend to explore different development options with our membership.
